In discussing my idea for the solid tire with Ryan, I was somewhat dismissed with "because the ride would be hella bumpy," but also informed that a major tire company has already invented something called the Tweel. It is precisely what I've been talking about!

See, so my idea isn't a bad one after all. Now the question is whether I should write Michelin to cash in on my own innovation. Hmm.

I was listening to the radio at lunchtime, and the DJ on Alice was announcing celebrity birthdays. She said something like, "...and if I'm doing my math correctly, Frank Sinatra is 90 today." I thought to myself, "didn't Frank Sinatra die??" So I looked it up to make sure I was right. Yep, Ol' Blue Eyes passed away in 1998. Which leads me to wonder...how the heck could the DJ on Alice not know that?! ::rolls eyes::

I ran into a prominent member of law enforcement on my way back from lunch, and he still remembered me from my reporting days. I mentioned that today is busy with all the Tookie Williams coverage. To which he replied with this gem: "Now they're reporting today that he's refusing food and water. I say that's even better, because then they'll have less to wipe up when he shits himself as he dies." Sigh...old sources run deep. Gotta love 'em.

I started scraping the popcorn ceiling in the new condo this weekend. For anyone who has never scraped a popcorn ceiling, I impart these words of wisdom:
It sucks. A lot.
